Leading Floating Wind in Italy
3 GW
combined capacity
Divento’s portfolio includes five major projects off the coasts of Sicily, Latium, and Sardinia, with a combined capacity of nearly 3 GW. Our projects aim to produce around 8 TWh of renewable energy annually, sufficient to meet the electricity needs of approximately 3 million households.
8 TWh
of renewable energy annually
By utilizing floating foundations in deep water and applying innovative technologies, Divento is enabling a revolution in Italy’s renewable energy landscape that is characterized by deep water offshore that is mostly unsuitable for fixed bottom floating wind turbines in areas with appropriate wind resources. The projects place Italy at the leading edge of the energy transition, with the with the world’s first scheduled utility scale floating offshore wind farm.

The projects can significantly contribute to the nation’s energy security and environmental sustainability and have an emphasis on bringing prosperity to Italian businesses and citizens. Divento is paving the way for a cleaner, greener future and making steps toward both the energy transition and the economic transition of fossil free power generation.
